Managing Director
Location: Greater Manchester
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 base + performance based bonus
About the Managing Director role:
Nobul is excited to be partnering with two innovative software development companies specialising in bespoke software solutions, who are currently recruiting a dynamic and entrepreneurial Managing Director.
These organisations are part of a larger, decentralised group that champions individual company growth and autonomy. With a combined revenue of over £3 million and a healthy profit this financial year, the companies are poised for ambitious growth, targeting revenues of £5 million+.
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership position where you will drive growth and success across both companies.
What you’ll do as the Managing Director:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to achieve significant revenue growth (targeting £5 million+).
- Business Development & Sales: Actively engage in business development, lead major accounts, guide sales teams, and leverage your network to generate opportunities.
- Productisation: Identify and pursue opportunities to productize existing bespoke solutions, focusing on pricing strategies and market expansion.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a talented team, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
- Financial Performance: Manage P&L, focusing on net profit growth and achieving financial objectives.
Key skills and experience for our Managing Director:
- An experienced Managing Director or senior leader ready to step into an MD role, with a proven track record in software product companies or similar hands-on environments.
- A strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a passion for driving growth.
- Highly skilled in business development and sales, comfortable leading high-level client conversations.
- Experienced in productisation, including developing pricing strategies and scalable structures for software products.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and thrives with significant autonomy.
- Culturally aligned with a dynamic and growth-oriented organisation.
